Description:
The Compact is a low profile unit that complements any bathroom. Sun-Mar engineers designed this unit by developing and patenting a new variable diameter Bio-drum which is smaller in the front than in the back. A patented Bio-drum handle is hidden in the body of the unit to mix and aerate the compost. The Compact is different from the Excel because all three chambers are smaller. This makes the Compact best suited for light residential or light to medium cottage use. As with the Excel, a 2" vent stack attaches to the back of the Compact and can be installed invisibly. A 1/2" emergency drain at the back of the unit offers protection against heavy or residential use, or in the event of a prolonged power outage.

In addition to ensuring an aerobic breakdown in the Bio-drum™, Sun-Mar ensures an odor free environment by engineering the air flow within the unit to maintain a continuous partial vacuum. Air is drawn in by either a fan (or for non-electric units by the vent chimney) over the evaporating chamber and into the vent stack. It evaporates excess liquid by continuously pulling air in it to ensure no odor escapes from the unit

If there is a poorly working septic system, a Sun-Mar can take care of the toilet waste. Also, where there is an outhouse Sun-Mar offers the luxury of an indoor facility. When there is no toilet at all, a Sun-Mar provides the right option. Sun-Mar units are economical, easy to install and easy to use. The Sun-Mar system collects nutrients and produces no waste making it a sound choice for the environment.
Note: Composting units cannot be used on a continuous basis if temperatures are less than 50° F. The micro-organisms of decomposition become dormant in lower temperatures. This can be overcome by insulating the composting area and heating it by using a 100 watt incandescent bulb.
