Description:
The Low-E Attic Blanket is yet another option for an energy upgrade in an attic system. Attic spaces get extremely hot in the summer from the sun's radiant heat. By Installing our energy efficient blanket, you are reflecting the radiant heat before it enters your attic space.  You also achieve an additonal R-11 to your roofing insulation system. This means less heat load on your living area and on duct work in the attic. Less heat load equates to immediate savings on utility consumption and increased comfort in your home.  This product is not meant to totally replace existing insulation though it can allow one to reduce the amount of mass insulation to achieve the R-value needed. It can simply be rolled over mass insulation, or stapled in the trusses of the roof.  The attic blanket will address radiant heat gain in a roof system, allowing your attic temperature to remain lower in the summer, and higher in the winter. The blanket is perforated to allow water vapor transmission to occur out of any mass insulation it is placed over. The blanket is simple to install, and will provide heating and cooling benefits for your house.
